Sharon Catherine Spiteri
Originally born in Malta then immigrating to Australia at a very tender age she later returned to Malta to study and work. She continued to visit her Island home over her lifetime as she still does to this day.
Sharon today is an accomplished chef with a long distinguished career. Having studied in Malta at the Institute of Tourism (ITS), she gained her City & Guilds of London qualifications as a trained Chef whilst also acquiring her Diploma. Her Working career in the Industry as a qualified chef within 5 star hotels, began at the Malta Hilton then later included Melbourne Hilton and Grand Hyatt Melbourne.
With this background in cooking, catering and service delivery within the industry, she has taken on this labor of love of putting together this definitive collection of Malta’s best known and greatest sweets as an achievement that brings together a journey in exploring, preparing and refining Malta timeless and unforgettable sweets.
Her main objective and goal is that whoever acquires this book in whichever part of the world that this brings a small slice of Malta that feels like home.
